RECREATION ASSISTANT III

The Hong Kong Government is seeking responsible, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals for the position of Recreation Assistant III.

JOB OVERVIEW
Recreation Assistant III supports the planning, coordination, administration, and daily operation of government recreational and community programs.
Successful candidates may assist with public services, recreational facilities, community activities, events, and administrative operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Assist with sports, recreation, cultural, educational, and community activities.
– Support the operation of government recreational facilities and venues.
– Coordinate event schedules, venue arrangements, and activity logistics.
– Provide administrative support for government programs and public events.
– Handle public enquiries and provide information about government services.
– Assist with registration for activities and community programs.
– Prepare reports, records, statistics, correspondence, and administrative documents.
– Maintain attendance records and databases.
– Support promotional and community outreach activities.
– Assist with procurement and inventory management.
– Liaise with schools, community organizations, contractors, service providers, and other stakeholders.
– Ensure activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and safety requirements.
– Provide on-site support during events, exhibitions, competitions, and public functions.
– Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should possess:
– Completion of secondary school education or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Government.
– Eligibility to meet applicable government recruitment and appointment requirements.
– Good written and spoken Chinese and/or English, depending on operational requirements.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good organizational and time-management skills.
– Positive working attitude and willingness to serve the public.
– Basic computer skills and familiarity with office applications.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates with:
– Experience in recreation services, sports administration, community services, event coordination, customer service, or public administration.
– Knowledge of recreational facility operations.
– Experience handling public enquiries and administrative documentation.
– Relevant certifications in recreation management, sports administration, customer service, or event management.
WORKING HOURS
Working hours may vary according to departmental and operational requirements.
Employees may be required to work on a roster basis, including weekends, public holidays, evenings, and special events when necessary.
