POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join the MTR cleaning team in Hong Kong as Train Interior Cleaners.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of train interiors to ensure passengers enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable travelling environment.
This position may be suitable for both experienced cleaning personnel and motivated candidates who are new to the cleaning industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of MTR train interiors.
– Clean passenger seating areas, floors, windows, handrails, doors, panels, and other interior surfaces.
– Remove dust, dirt, stains, rubbish, and other debris from designated areas.
– Ensure passenger areas are maintained according to required cleanliness standards.
– Use cleaning equipment, tools, and cleaning products safely and appropriately.
– Conduct cleaning duties according to established workplace procedures and schedules.
– Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions to the relevant supervisor.
– Follow workplace health, safety, hygiene, and operational guidelines at all times.
– Work efficiently as part of a cleaning team, particularly during busy operating periods.
– Ensure assigned train compartments and work areas are clean and ready for passenger service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
– Open to male and female applicants.
– Physically fit and capable of performing cleaning duties for extended periods.
– Comfortable working under a shift or rotating-shift schedule.
– Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.
– Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures carefully.
– Good attention to cleanliness and detail.
– Able to work independently as well as as part of a team.
– Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, transportation, hotel, facility management, or related industries is an advantage.
– Candidates without previous experience may be considered, subject to employer requirements and selection.
– Willingness to work in a fast-paced public transportation environment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The role involves working in a busy railway transportation environment where cleanliness and passenger comfort are important priorities. Employees may be required to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, or other designated working periods depending on operational requirements.
Proper training and workplace guidance may be provided to successful candidates according to the employer’s requirements.
