JOB DESCRIPTION
Successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and overall appearance of designated MTR station areas.
The position may involve cleaning public areas that are frequently used by passengers and staff. Employees are expected to perform their duties carefully, efficiently and according to established workplace procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
– Clean and maintain MTR station public areas.
– Clean platforms, entrances, corridors, waiting areas and designated facilities.
– Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, glass surfaces and other assigned areas.
– Empty and manage rubbish and waste in designated areas.
– Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties.
– Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly.
– Ensure assigned areas remain clean and presentable throughout the working shift.
– Respond to cleaning requirements in busy passenger areas.
– Follow workplace cleaning schedules and instructions from supervisors.
– Maintain proper hygiene standards at all times.
– Report damaged facilities, safety concerns or unusual conditions to the relevant supervisor.
– Follow all workplace health, safety and operational procedures.
– Cooperate with supervisors and other cleaning team members.
– Perform additional cleaning-related duties when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should demonstrate a responsible and professional attitude toward their work.
Basic requirements include:
– Responsible, punctual and hardworking.
– Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
– Able to stand, walk and move around the station during working hours.
– Willing to perform repetitive cleaning and maintenance tasks.
– Able to work independently and as part of a team.
– Willing to work rotating shifts.
– Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required by the work schedule.
– Able to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
– Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but is not required.
