JOB OPPORTUNITY
A professional facilities management company supporting operations at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is currently seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join its facilities services team as University Cleaners.
This position provides an opportunity to work in a professional educational environment while contributing to the cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and overall presentation of university facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Cleaning
– Clean classrooms, lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, and offices.
– Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and polish assigned floor surfaces.
– Dust and clean furniture, desks, chairs, cabinets, shelves, and other fixtures.
– Clean windows, mirrors, glass panels, doors, and partitions.
– Maintain corridors, staircases, elevators, entrances, and common areas.
– Ensure assigned areas remain clean, orderly, and presentable.
Washroom Maintenance
– Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, and other restroom facilities.
– Replenish toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and hygiene supplies.
– Conduct routine inspections and maintain required hygiene standards.
Waste Management
– Collect and dispose of waste according to established procedures.
– Empty rubbish and recycling bins.
– Replace waste bags as required.
– Maintain cleanliness of designated waste collection areas.
Campus Facilities
– Clean libraries, study areas, computer laboratories, administrative offices, staff areas, and common facilities.
– Maintain conference rooms, lounges, and other designated areas.
– Support cleaning operations in designated laboratory or research facilities where required.
– Assist in maintaining facilities to support daily university operations.
Student and Public Areas
– Clean student lounges, dining areas, recreational facilities, and public spaces.
– Maintain building entrances, sheltered areas, and designated walkways.
– Support cleaning requirements during university events, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions.
– Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Equipment and Workplace Safety
– Operate cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
– Handle approved cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety procedures.
– Comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
– Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
– Report hazards, accidents, damaged equipment, and unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
Inspection and Reporting
– Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas.
– Report maintenance issues, plumbing concerns, lighting problems, damaged facilities, and other operational matters.
– Maintain consistent cleaning standards in accordance with company procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
– Open to male and female applicants.
– Minimum age of 18 years.
– Previous cleaning experience is not mandatory.
– Training will be provided.
– Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties.
– Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
– Responsible, reliable, disciplined, and hardworking.
– Willing to learn and follow workplace procedures.
– Able to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, commercial facilities, facilities management, or educational institutions is an advantage but not essential.
